“WINE IS A PASSPORT TO THE WORLD”

Authoritative marketing specialist within the wine industry
During my career I have built a wide ranging set of skills, expertise, and industry contacts within both the marketing and the wine industry. I have an MBA, I have studied for the Chartered Institute of Marketing exams (CIM) and WSET Level 2, 3 and Diploma levels. Most recently I took my WSET Level 1 Sake qualification. Alongside this I have strong practical experience of the day to day challenges facing wine businesses whether they are wine makers, or businesses selling wine in the UK. My wider experience of marketing and brand building means I can help wine businesses to tell the stories behind their vineyards and engage with their audience.

Life during the pandemic
Extensive travel across wine regions and vineyards across the world
From 2020 to 2023 I travelled across Europe with my wife and our dog Fino.  We navigate by wine regions and vineyards.  We have visited many wine regions in France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy and Greece.
On other trips we have spent 4 weeks travelling across New Zealand, 3 weeks in South Africa, and 3 weeks in the US, also hugely influenced by our passion for wine.
Some of my most memorable experiences are meeting wine makers or finding vineyards randomly on our travels. We have made many friends through these experiences.
Life today
Today I work for Fells. Fells is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading fine wine distributors
I oversee the marketing for all our Port brands, iconic names such as Cockburn’s, Graham’s, Warre’s and Dow’s. Cockburn’s is the largest Port brand in the world, but all of our Port brands have remarkable history spanning multi-generation and 200 years of heritage. Port is an exceptional wine category, the different styles, house names, and heritage make the role absolutely fascinating.
